CIECHOCINEK
The graduation towers - a unique and the largest wooden structure in Europe to evaporate water from the brine, were designed by Jakub Graff - professor of the Mining Academy in Kielce. Three such buildings were built in Ciechocinek - they were arranged in the shape of a horseshoe.
The construction of the graduation tower I and II lasted from 1824 to 1828, the third one was built in 1859. The base of the graduation tower is about 7000 oak piles driven into the ground, on which there is a spruce-pine construction filled with blackthorn, on which brine flows down.
