Ustroń - The peak of the Równica Mountain
Description
Równica - a mountain peak with an altitude of 885 m above sea level in the Vistula Range in the Silesian Beskids located between the valleys of the Vistula and the Brennica.
Slopes and the very top are covered with forests, mainly beech and mixed.
In the clearing below the summit, at an altitude of 785 m, there is a mountain hostel founded in 1927, whose appearance relates to the regional architecture. Inside there is a GOPR office.
An asphalt road from Ustroń leads to the mountain hostel. On top of Równica and next to the hostel there is a junction of tourist trails that can take you to the center of Ustroń, Ustroń Polany, Skoczów, Brenna and the Salmopolska Pass. The Main Beskid Trail runs here.
From the top there is an extensive panorama of the Silesian Beskid with the peaks: Czantoria Wielka, Mała, Mt Tuł, Skrzyczne, Soszów Wielki, Barania Góra, Malinowska Skała.
On the southern slope of Równica there is a large holiday and spa center.
On the trail from Ustroń the place of Protestant services - held in the open air since the time of religious persecution until today.
