Account & security
Secure your account (password, 2FA, sessions)
Account security starts with a strong, unique password and two-factor authentication turned on. Below are our recommended settings and how to react to suspicious activity.
Strong password
Use a password at least 12 characters long, unique to LookCam. A password manager is the best way to do this. You can change your password in account settings, under “Security”.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
2FA adds a second login step — a code from an authenticator app (e.g. Authy, Google Authenticator). Turn it on under “Security → Two-factor authentication” and store your backup codes somewhere safe. We especially recommend 2FA for creators and accounts with active monetization.
Active sessions
In the “Sessions” section you'll see a list of devices logged into your account, along with their location and last activity date. If you see an unfamiliar device, click “Log out” to revoke that session, then change your password immediately.
Account recovery
If you lose access to your account, use “Forgot password” on the login screen. If you don't have access to your email or your 2FA backup codes, contact support through the request form — we'll verify account ownership.
