Watching live cameras
Live or offline
A channel marked with a red “LIVE” badge is broadcasting right now. When a camera is offline, you'll see an offline screen along with — if available — recent recordings, clips, and the channel description. Live streams naturally carry a small delay relative to real time.
Picture quality and saving data
You can change quality in the player (e.g. 1080p/720p/auto). “Auto” mode matches quality to your connection. On mobile connections, choose a lower quality to reduce data usage.
Fullscreen and PiP mode
In the player you can turn on fullscreen and — in supported browsers — Picture-in-Picture, so you can keep watching while browsing other pages. The player keeps a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Following and notifications
Click “Follow” to add a channel to your followed list and get notified when it goes live. You manage notifications and their channels in account settings.
Chat
You can use chat during live streams. Some channels require logging in or following, and slow mode may also be enabled. Chat etiquette is described in our Community Guidelines.
Clips and recordings
You can turn interesting moments into clips and share them with a link. The availability of clips and recordings (VOD) depends on each channel's settings.
On mobile and TV
LookCam works in the browser and in the iOS and Android apps. On your phone you can watch streams, use chat, and see your followed list; in supported setups you can also cast to a TV.
